Your shout out for the Don Camillo stories made me very happy. They have stayed with me since I read them as a youngish child raiding my parents’ library when I ran out of Biggles books. I now realise how lucky I was in my parents’ wide range of literature that few of my contemporaries seem aware of - and of the comparatively small amount of Young Adult books at the time that forced me to forage among the more grownup authors...
