How did this garbage get into my TL?

Everything they say about Trump, they've already done, to Bernie Sanders, to Trump, to the J6ers (J6, which will go down in history as an op); they are the party of Epstein Island.

No one is in bigger denial about end-stage capitalism than the 10% of society benefitting from it and their low-info lackeys.

And, while both parties have helped created this dystopian, neofeudal race to the bottom, the Democrats are a bit worse right now, because they believe their own lies.

LOL. Only one party tried to overturn, and still refuses to accept the results of, the 2020 election.

Do you happen to know which party that was? LMAO.

Having read about pigeons on phones and recently hearing from Hannah Fry that pigeons are extremely good at distinguishing images of cancer cells from normal ones, (if you exclude the one stupid pigeon), I'm wondering if I should be worried about pigeon apocalypse 🤔

From someone who lives outside UK. One problem for the NS (and this is altruistic on my part but jobs are at stake) is that their paywall does not work so it is possible to read the whole magazine online for free. Log on to their site with Mozilla Firefox, choose an article, press Reader View and its all accessible. Spectator used to be the same but they fixed it. Still works for the Telegraph though.

“Self-mythologising” is a criticism I’m seeing more and more often (not just here!), and I’m starting to long for writers to retire it. If it means that someone is lying about their past to make themselves look better, let’s just say so and clarify what the lies are. Otherwise it’s just a vague accusation that sounds like it’s alluding to a serious character failing, but can also just be poking fun at someone who’s actually good at being the protagonist of their own life. I don’t mind seeing pomposity pricked (which is what I think might actually be the intension?), but “self-mythologysing” strikes me as a bit woolly.

It’s living in a false reality that’s trying your present and obliterating the future. “I will get mommy to love me. “

So Taylor Swift is trying to get her mother to love her? I am not sure I’m any clearer.

“A group of Carmelite monks in Wyoming are building themselves a gothic monastery using 3D design software and stone-carving robots”

Every time I read about Ukraine being bogged down in minefields I wonder why it’s not possible for them to get AI to design 3D printable robot swarms that go over the fields as suicide drones to trigger the mines

I tried to get ChatGPT to do it but I’m penalty on 10 terrorism watch lists now because it told me it won’t do weapons (but what I want aren’t weapons, just dumb drones that trigger the mines) and I’m sure that restriction could be turned off

Given your contacts I’d love to see someone who knows things asked about this and explain why it can’t be done

Re: Venezuela and Guyana

There’s a bit in Jeff Guinn’s book on Jonestown about how one of the reasons Guyana welcomed the cult with open arms is because their settlement helped with the Guyanese government’s plans to populate the interior and protect it from Venezuela annexing it.
